The Transport Logistics and Sustainable Cities Network

This is a forum for sharing knowledge and exchange of ideas and expertise from transport and logistics practitioners in Africa. It has three founding members that comprises of the Africa Centre of Excellence, CEALT, University of Djibouti, Djibouti, the CERVIDA, University of Lome, Togo and the TRECK of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

The network was set up in 2021 with funds from the World Bank through the Association of Africa Universities (AAU).

Our Vision

The Vision of the Network is to be the platform of choice for partnerships, interdisciplinary research and exchange of transport and expertise among academics and professionals in Africa. The overall objective of the Transport and Logistics in Sustainable Cities Network (TL-SCN) is to strengthen academic and scientific partnerships between Africa Centres of Excellence on logistics, Transport and Urban Planning.

Our mission

The missions of the Network include:

  • Provide the framework for the exchange of students at the Master and PhD levels;
  • Pool research systems and set up joint research projects;
  • Share best practices and organize joint scientific events;
  • Explore the possibilities of having short training sessions in common and exchange of experts;
  • Mobilize joint efforts for the sustainability of the Network.

The Transport Logistics and Sustainable Cities Network has three founding members in Ghana, Togo and Djibouti.
